The Concept2 Dynamic RowErg (2714) is designed for on-water rowers. It simulates the physics of rowing a racing shell more closely: your body mass stays relatively still while parts of the machine move in response to your stroke, much like a light racing boat moves around the rower.
It asks for the same precise coordination, connection and power application needed for speed in a boat. Concept2 recommends the Dynamic only for people who row on the water; the standard RowErg remains the choice for indoor rowing competitions and records.
